Meta quietly launched a new AI-driven gaming application called Pocket on June 29, 2026, across the iOS App Store and Google Play, giving users in Brazil an experimental tool to create and share interactive mini-games using text prompts.
How Meta’s New Vibe-Coded Platform Works
Developed following Meta’s earlier acquisition of the team behind the vibe-coded gaming platform Gizmo, Pocket functions as a dedicated ecosystem for generating and discovering bite-sized interactive software. Self-described as “a creative platform for making and sharing gizmos,” the app enables users to turn written AI prompts into playable software experiences. Beyond creation tools, Pocket incorporates a scrollable discovery feed where users can browse and instantly play experiences generated by others.
Visuals from the app’s screenshots in Google Play reveal striking similarities to Gizmo’s original software, which is still listed on app marketplaces. Both products center on prompt-based generation mechanics paired with a social discovery feed.
Discovery and Experimental Testing in Brazil
Reverse engineer Alessandro Paluzzi first uncovered the app’s existence, sharing a Play Store screenshot on X. Market tracking from app intelligence platform Appfigures reveals that Pocket officially published on June 29, 2026. Due to its recent entry, download estimates remain unconfirmed.

Following Paluzzi’s initial post, publications including Business Insider and Investing.com verified the listing. Meta has not issued a statement regarding the release. Data indicates Pocket is currently restricted to a soft launch in Brazil, suggesting an active testing phase before any potential global rollout.
Integration Into Meta’s Generative AI Ecosystem
Pocket marks Meta’s latest attempt to integrate user-facing generative AI tools directly into consumer products. This strategy builds on earlier releases, including image generation in Meta AI, text-to-video capabilities in Vibes, and advanced creator features inside the video editing software Edits.

Gizmo’s Market Performance Prior to Acquisition
The core technology driving Pocket has proven user interest. According to Appfigures, the standalone Gizmo app accumulated 635,000 lifetime downloads across iOS and Android platforms, maintaining a 98% positive sentiment rating prior to its acquisition by Meta.
